At St. Mary's Adoption and Resource Center:
Meet this sweet beauty named Blanca! This girl is very nervous when first meeting new people but will quickly adjust given time. Blanca does not appear confident in herself just yet. She depends on her human for comfort and will need a family that will help her become more confident! Due to an incident in her previous adoptive home, we would not recommend Blanca be adopted into a home with other dogs, cats or small animals. She is extremely timid, and young children may frighten her. This girl is looking for someone, preferably with GSD experience, that can build her confidence and provide her with a safe and patient home. Adoption applications can be submitted in person at the St. Mary's County Animal Adoption & Resource Center located at 22975 FDR Blvd California, MD 20619 View all adoptable animals here: https://www.stmaryscountymd.gov/animalshelter/Adoptable/

Meet Mae Mae
Sometimes the saddest surrenders are the ones filled with the most love.
Mae Mae was adopted in 2024 by a family who absolutely adored her, and it was clear from the moment she came back to us just how deeply she was loved. Sadly, due to serious health issues, her family reached the heartbreaking point where they could no longer care for her the way they wanted to. There were tears, hugs, and so much sadness during her surrender. They brought all of her favorite things with her—toys, treats, beds, and everything this spoiled little girl could ever need. It was one of those moments that reminded us love sometimes means making the hardest decision for the one you love most. We promised Mae Mae’s family that we would take very good care of her and do everything we could to find her another loving home. So now, we’d love for you to meet sweet Mae Mae. She is a beautiful 3 year, 11-month-old Chihuahua/Min Pin mix who weighs 20 pounds. Mae Mae is shy at first, but she warms up quickly and has such a gentle, loving spirit. Right now, she is understandably confused and missing her family, but she is taking things one day at a time. What Mae Mae needs most now is someone willing to open their heart to a little dog who has known love before and deserves to know it again. Could you be the one to give Mae Mae the fresh start she so deserves? If interested in meeting Mae Mae, please submit an application on our website. Please share to help us keep our promise to Mae Mae and her family.

Meet Blarney! And yes… the name fits. Blarney is a 1 year 7-month-old, 47-pound Bulldog mix who’s equal parts handsome, hilarious, and full of energy! With his playful spirit and goofy personality, Blarney is guaranteed to keep you entertained and smiling every single day. He’s the kind of pup who turns ordinary moments into fun ones just by being his joyful, silly self. Ready to add a little adventure (and a lot of laughs) to your life? If you’re interested in meeting Blarney, please submit an application on our website. Let’s help this fun-loving boy find his forever home—please share!
