When a crime occurs, many victims do not know their rights or what resources are available. There are over 70,000 criminal cases filed in Maryland each year. Crime victims never expect to be victimized and many have never walked into a courthouse. Most crime victims do not have legal representation or know they can receive dedicated support from an advocate who can help guide them through the legal process and refer them to other services. MCVRC has been advocating and helping victims for over 42 years. We help all victims of crime regardless of income. All they need is compassion, objectivity, and a commitment to children.
